Version '09:

Chirp Program For Mac

New Features:

Swift playground for macbook pro. Tap to edit a number in-place with a pop-over keypad, or touch a color value to display a color picker. You can even restructure your code by simply dragging a brace to wrap around the surrounding code.

  • Added Jaiku integration.
  • New set of six nature-themed color schemes.
  • Added Identi.ca support for private/direct messages and @ Reply marking.
  • New caching features support live timestamping and an indicator showing the last successful connection.
  • Complete re-write of the core from scratch, using many of the methods and techniques found in Sam Stephenson's Prototype framework.
  • Chirp now uses JSON instead of XML to communicate with the server.

Bug Fixes and Improvements:

Configuring CHIRP to download from the Baofeng UV-5R. Then your Mac will download the memory of the Baofeng right into CHIRP, using what it calls “cloning”: CHIRP downloading the UV-5R-2’s configuration. Since you may be a new ham (or a long absent ham, like me), you probably don’t know what repeaters are in your local area. CHIRP runs on Windows 2000, XP, Vista, 7, 8, and 10. New Mac OS X must install the runtime once before running CHIRP. After it is installed, the runtime does not need to be downloaded or installed each time. Download the KK7DS Python runtime for Mac OSX. OS X support is limited to Intel architecture. PowerPC is not supported.

  • Added relative time support for months and years.
  • Added a check so that pasting into the text area wouldn't overflow the character counter.
  • Fixed a bug where searching wouldn't correctly search updates containing commas.
  • Fixed a posting bug which truncated posts containing non-ASCII characters.
  • Chirp no longer attempts to refresh the feed if the preferences are shown.
  • Added a new loading indicator.
  • Changed the wording of the errors to make them more informative.
  • Lowered the request timeout to 15 seconds (7.5 seconds for updating).
  • Added a feature to automatically disable the 'Done' button unless a username and password are entered.
  • Removed the two-minute refresh interval; you can still refresh by showing and hiding the Dashboard.
  • The 'Update' button now mentions the latest version available.
  • Plugged several more memory leaks. Note: Despite our fixes, Dashboard still has problems with memory leaks. This is a bug that Apple is working to correct.
  • Fixed a problem with an HTTP 304 error being occasionally reported.
  • Numerous bug fixes and other code improvements.

Known Issues:

Chirp Mac Usb Port

  • Jaiku won't immediately refresh the stream after you post an update. This is a bug with the Jaiku API, as it won't push the updated stream right after the update is posted. Refreshing the stream by showing and hiding the Dashboard should show the update.

  • A Mac version of Chirp is available on the Chirp website. In spite of all the Mac specific help provided, I have not been able to install it on my MacBook running High Sierra. I've already heard the other options - install Parallels / Windows, buy a cheap PC or use a Raspberry Pi, but I KNOW someone out there has gotten it to run on a standard Mac.
