@philosodoad, I disagree with your comment. The question was, 'why do programmers use or recommend mac-os-x?' , and my answer (or, its gist) was, 'because of Apple's clever marketing strategy.' My complaint is with Apple, and its attitude towards the industry (remember lala.com?) The Apple attitude is the same since 1984. I have programmed on both windows and mac. I would say mac is amazing for web due to a lot of built in tools. But since I decided to swap gears and move into c I have come back to windows. And I personally would say it just depends on your preference. I also think ever since windows added in the whole dev mode a few years ago.

  • C# (pronounced 'c-sharp') is a great coding language that works across Mac and PC. Programmers use it to build a variety of software applications, especially in the Windows environment.
  • I need some help choosing a programming language and a program for my exam's project. I would like to program a piece software, for both Windows and Mac OS X. But I do not know, what language or program I should. So do you have any suggestions?! However it cannot be HTML or CSS, because of some exam rule.
